We are the EQuiPT part of QuIT. Our research focuses on unraveling the intricate relationship between information and physics. We explore a wide range of topics, from the fundamental thermodynamic limits of knowledge to applied protocols for quantum communication, as well as their experimental realisations. This interdisciplinary work positions us at the crossroads of quantum theory and its real-world applications. A key focus of our research is the fundamental limits on time measurement, which are closely tied to the functioning of autonomous quantum machines. We investigate trade-offs between dissipation, accuracy, and resolution, revealing that the construction of highly accurate clocks is inherently linked to thermodynamic principles.
