English: X’għandna? I’m a Maltese PhD student at QUIT working under the supervision of the entangled anarchist. My main line of research is thinking thermodynamically about well established quantum information protocols where I’m trying to gain an understanding of two things. What fundamental relationships exist between classes of computational tasks and thermodynamic resources? And, what costs or limitations does thermodynamics impose on computation itself?
Before this I studied at the University of Malta and was a visiting research student across the CATS Group at University College Dublin and the QuSys Group at Trinity College Dublin during my Master’s. I also founded and organise the Qalypso Summer Schools on the island of Gozo.

Deutsch: X’għandna? Ich bin ein Doktorand aus Malta in der QUIT Gruppe und werde vom verschränkten Anarchisten betreut. Im Rahmen meiner Forschung versuche ich etablierte Quanteninformationsprotokolle aus dem Blickwinkel der Thermodynamik zu betrachten und versuche dabei zwei Aspekte genauer zu verstehen; Welche fundamentalen Beziehungen existieren zwischen verschiedenen Klassen von Berechenbarkeitsproblemen und thermodynamischen Ressourcen? Und, welche Kosten und Limitierungen impliziert Thermodynamik auf die Berechenbarkeit selbst?
Bevor ich nach Wien gekommen bin, habe ich an der Universität Malta studiert und war während meinem Masterstudium als Visiting Research Student in der CATS Gruppe am University College Dublin und der QuSys Gruppe am Trinity College Dublin. Außerdem bin ich der Gründer und Organisatur der Qalypso Summer School auf der Insel Gozo.
